Platform Housing Group has been awarded a certificate of recognition by the INclusive Worcestershire Leaders (IWL) Forum, affirming its commitment to creating a fair, accessible and inclusive workplace for all.
The accolade was presented at the most recent IWL Forum held last month, which focused on inclusive recruitment. The event, organised by Worcestershire County Council and the Worcestershire Growth Hub, brought together local employers and partners to explore how inclusive hiring can build stronger, more diverse teams across the region.
Ali Bennett, Resourcing Specialist at Platform Housing Group, attended the forum and collected the certificate on behalf of the organisation. He said:
“We’re proud to be recognised as an Inclusive Worcestershire Leader. At Platform, we believe inclusion is not just a value, it’s a practice embedded in how we attract, support and empower talent. It’s great to see this being championed across the county, and we’re committed to playing our part in making Worcestershire a place where everyone can thrive.”
The certificate will be displayed at Platform’s Worcester office at Central Park, showcasing the Group’s dedication to equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This achievement aligns with Platform’s ongoing work as a Disability Confident Leader and its wider organisational mission to promote fairness and opportunity for colleagues and communities alike.
As one of the Midlands’ largest social landlords, Platform Housing Group employs around 2000 colleagues and manages 50,000 homes. The Group is committed to inclusive recruitment practices, ensuring it removes barriers and creates welcoming pathways for all, including disabled people, underrepresented communities and those furthest from the labour market.
The Inclusive Worcestershire Leaders initiative currently has more than 80 members and continues to grow as employers pledge to embed inclusive thinking across recruitment, onboarding and career progression practices.
