Two Rivers Housing awarded top regulatory ratings
- Two Rivers Housing receives top ratings following regulatory inspection
- G1/V1/C1 ratings put the housing association amongst the top performers in the country
- C1 awarded for the first time against the new Consumer Standards
The Regulator of Social Housing has awarded Two Rivers Housing the highest possible ratings for governance, financial viability and consumer standards following a planned inspection in April.
The Gloucestershire-based housing association has retained its G1/V1 rating and received a C1 grade under the Regulator’s new Consumer Standards, placing it among the strongest performing social landlords in the country.
The Consumer Standards were introduced in April 2024 following the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023. They set out what social housing providers must do to deliver safe, well-managed homes and good services for tenants.
The G1/V1/C1 ratings show that Two Rivers Housing is well governed, financially secure and focused on listening to tenants and improving services.
Kevin Bennett, who took over from Hayley Selway as Chief Executive in June, said:
“This result is a testament to the hard work Hayley, and the team have put in over the last two and a half years, and I want to congratulate everyone involved on such a fantastic result.
“It shows we are doing the right things and moving in the right direction and gives us a brilliant platform to build on what has been achieved under Hayley’s leadership.
“We’ll continue to work hard to improve our services, invest in our homes and work with tenants to make things better – never forgetting our purpose: to make sure everyone has a warm, safe, affordable home.”
Ted Pearce, Chair of Two Rivers Housing, congratulated the team adding:
“On behalf of the Board, I’d like to thank the team for their hard work and commitment. This outcome reflects their dedication to doing the right thing for tenants – making sure they are at the heart of every decision we make.
“With Kevin joining as our new Chief Executive and continuing to guide this talented team, we will build on this strong foundation – working alongside our tenants to improve services and invest in their homes and the communities we serve.”
Two Rivers Housing manages more than 4,600 homes across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, and the surrounding areas.
