Adam Huselbee joins Two Rivers Housing as Assistant Director of Data and Technology

Adam Huselbee has joined Two Rivers Housing in the newly created role of Assistant Director of Data and Technology to support its digital transformation project.

He joins the Gloucestershire-based housing association from Connexus where he held the position of Group Head of ICT and was responsible for integrating the group’s IT services following the merger of three local housing associations in 2017.

In his role at Connexus, Adam oversaw the merger of multiple IT systems, simplifying and securing critical IT infrastructure and standardising core applications across the group. He reviewed and delivered the company’s ICT Strategy designed to drive efficiency and support the group’s corporate plan.

Prior to the merger, Adam was the Head of ICT at Herefordshire Housing, where he embedded best practice in day to day ICT support, provided support to the existing team and strengthened the ICT network and core systems to improve performance and created clear roles and responsibilities aligned to the needs of the business.

Adam has also worked internationally supporting digital transformation at Hi-Lex, an automative parts manufacturer in Port Talbot where he held the title of European Director of IT.

In this role, he oversaw the redesign and delivery of the company’s IT infrastructure at its new research and development centre in Germany. He also delivered significant improvements to its Enterprise Resource Planning System, which was integral to stock control, warehouse management and its customer ordering platform.

He started his career as a software engineer at Compact 3000, which was later acquired by Baan UK and spent eight years at SSA Global before working for Corrugated Technologies in San Diego, California.

As part of its new corporate strategy – Delivering #Twogether 2024-2027 – Two Rivers Housing unveiled plans to review its approach to digital transformation, continue to strengthen its cyber security defences, and create a customer-focussed approach to IT and Data resources to better support its team.

Adam’s appointment is the first step in this process. He will play a pivotal role in shaping the housing association’s future ICT Strategy, delivering better technological solutions, which will allow colleagues to be truly customer-focussed.

Speaking about his appointment Carol Dover, Deputy Chief Executive for Two Rivers Housing said:

“We’re really pleased that Adam has joined the team and will be supporting us through our digital transformation. Two Ri know that by investing in technology to support the wider team, we can streamline our processes and free up time for our frontline teams – helping them to spend more time working with our tenants and doing the things that add real value to our communities.

“We also know that improving our business information, will lead to better business decisions and help to ensure that we are focussing on the right things and that we continue to deliver value for money and good quality services to our tenants. We have already made some good progress in this area and with Adam’s support will be able to continue to build on this important work.”

Adam, who joined the Two Rivers Housing team at the beginning of August added:

“Two Rivers Housing is a community-based, local housing provider and I am really pleased to be part of an organisation that can make a real difference to its communities.

“For me technology is there to support the business and its people – making it easier for them to do the important things like supporting tenants, investing in our homes and getting out in our communities. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the team and working with them to improve our services and how we use technology to deliver for the thousands of families living in our homes.”
