Orbit Homes is continuing its commitment to deliver quality, energy efficient affordable homes with plans approved for its new fully affordable 63-home development, Lancaster Fields in Baginton.
In partnership with Stonebond, the partnerships developer, Orbit Homes will deliver 33 new homes for social rent and 30 homes available for purchase through Shared Ownership. The development will comprise a mix of one-bedroom maisonettes and two, three and four-bedroom houses.
All homes at Lancaster Fields are set to support energy efficiency with solar panels and EV charging points included as standard.
The development off Coventry Road is also designed to support Orbit Group’s commitment to enable nature’s recovery in 30% of its outdoor spaces by 2030 and will include a public open space and tree planting.
The new homes will be built by Stonebond using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), using a timber frame installation method which supports sustainable construction as well as greater energy efficiency and insulation, making the homes warmer and more affordable for residents.
Grant funding from Homes England will support the delivery of affordable homes at the site. Construction is expected to start in summer 2026.
