Platform Housing Group has strengthened its commitment to environmental management and biodiversity with the appointment of three new colleagues to its growing arboriculture team.
Ryan Morris, Rudy Gaw and Jodie Campbell have joined Platform’s Estate Services team to help manage, maintain and protect thousands of trees across the organisation’s communities. Their work supports Platform’s wider focus on sustainability, safety and the long term health of its green spaces.
As qualified Arboriculture Surveyors, Ryan and Rudy are responsible for inspecting Platform’s tree stock across the Midlands, identifying potential hazards, pests and diseases, and recommending interventions that balance safety and preservation.
Ryan, based in Hereford, brings years of hands on experience climbing and caring for some of the UK’s most historic trees.
Ryan said:
“I started out just wanting to use chainsaws and climb trees, but that quickly grew into a deep care for the trees themselves. Now I want to make a difference by improving tree health, increasing longevity and enhancing habitats for the wildlife that depends on them.”
Rudy, based near Leicester, began his career as a gardener before moving into tree surgery and utility vegetation management for organisations like National Grid. He said:
“Trees are a symbol of resilience and growth. I see this role as a way to leave a legacy through the trees I help protect and to share nature’s lessons along the way.”
Jodie Campbell, based in Worcester, joins as a Grounds Maintenance Coordinator supporting arboriculture operations across all three localities. With experience in event planning and construction, Jodie brings strong coordination skills and a growing interest in conservation.
Jodie said:
“Working closely with the arboriculture team has sparked a real passion for nature in me. I’m excited to help improve services and support stronger community experiences across our estates.”
Together the trio will play a key role in managing Platform’s trees responsibly, ensuring they remain safe, healthy and sustainable for years to come.
