The Window Company (contracts) appointed to LHC Frameworks for first time

Award winning commercial installer The Window Company (Contracts) has become an LHC Appointed Company for the first time, after being appointed to the public sector procurement group’s Framework Agreements for both PVC-U and timber window and door products.

From 1st August 2018, the Chelmsford based company is listed on the Home Counties, London and East Anglia frameworks for PVC-U and on the South East England framework for timber.

This was the first time that the Chelmsford based company had tendered to join any LHC framework, so it was a significant achievement to be named on both at the first attempt.

Commercial Director Mark Crane said:

“The LHC Frameworks obviously give us access to key public sector clients and in return provide those clients with fast track procurement and transparent rates. As a specialist commercial installer with vast experience in the public sector, we’re very proud to have been appointed, and are looking forward to building strong and efficient working relationships.”

The appointment comes at the end of a tender process lasting around six months, during which The Window Company (Contracts) Ltd had to demonstrate its ability to provide a service focused around quality and value. It was led by newly appointed Commercial Director Mark Crane, who made the switch from client to sub-contractor earlier this year after a long and successful career with Keepmoat Regeneration.

The Window Company (Contracts) drew upon its successful track record in the public and social housing sector, for clients such as Basildon and Ipswich Councils and Moat housing association, and its strong partnerships with some of the UK’s leading timber and PVC-U fabricators.

Mark Crane added:

“Within the Framework Agreements, we can guarantee the highest standards in installation thanks to our BSI Kitemark and in health and safety thanks to our Gold award in the GGF GLASS Charter merit scheme.”
